Today i will be sharing a simple trick i found out on how to to free up memory on your android app using explore.

First of all, incase you dont know, explore is much more amazing than you think it is and i think and expect every tech-person to have that app because it's probably a must have app for android users.

In this guide i'll be showing you how to use just one of many other features explore has in the following steps:

• STEP 1

Goto playstore and type "Xplore" then download to your device.

• STEP 2

Open Xpore and press your menu key to show Xpore options.

• STEP 3

Then click on configuration and you will be taken to the xpore settings. When you get there, check or click "show hidden files"

• STEP 4

After ticking show hidden files, go back to the Xpore front page and look for a folder called "DCIM" either in your phone memory or sdcard or you can do this process on both of them.

Click on "DCIM" Then you will see a folder called ".THUMBNAILS"  then delete it.

That folder ".thumbnails" contains upto 1gig of useless data accumulated from your gallery, meaning that anytime you check your gallery, so many tiny images called "Thumbnails" are generated.

 so if you have used your phone for more than a year, imagine how much useless data you will have.

Now after deleting the thumbnails, huge memory is freed.

NOTE: 

In as much as we clean our house everyday, in android phones, thumbnails should be cleared too once in a while like 2 days interval or every time you check your gallery (if you need memory freed urgently).
